Jossy Abramovich was born in Romania and started studying music at the young age of seven years old,
when he was accepted to the Conservatory of Music in Bucharest, Romania.
Jossy emigrated to Israel shortly thereafter, and played in the Israeli Air Force Band as a soloist,
where he performed all over the country and on the radio.
In 1956, after the Sinai Campaigne, he was the first musician to play for the first Jewish wedding to take place in the Sinai in 2000 years.
After he was released from the army, he began to play for the famous stars of Israel, and created his own 6-piece band and toured the Dan Hotels in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Acadia (Hertzelya) for the next seven years. Following this period, Jossy took his band to the Scandinavian countries, where they were the first Israeli band to appear and were a very big hit. In Finland, they appeared on numerous television programmes and had fantastic success with their recordings.
In 1980 Jossy moved to Canada, and has been doing a great deal of work for CBC, arranging music for the Quartetto Gelato, and playing music for the Carnival Cruise Lines for approximatley 15 years.
Jossy and his band play a very wide variety of music, and sing in more than six languages. They can be found performing at Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, house parties, receptions, ballroom dances, anniversaries, and holiday parties, just to name a few.
